The CMS floor service outlet box has been designed to meet the needs of both end user and installation engineer, incorporating such unique features as minimal mechanical fixings and individual primary compartment cable outlets.

The design concept also maintains total flexibility, enabling the product to be further tailored to overcome any specific individual requirements.
The complete assembly comprises , Hinged Trap, Carpet Surround Trim, Sub-frame, Base Box and outlet mounting plates if required.

The Hinged Trap is designed to be fully reversible in use, and is provided in a grey polyester powder coated finish, to give an aesthetic appearance both open and closed. The standard unit is produced with 6mm or 12mm ‘square’ recess depths for ease of installation. Alternative variations in recess depth are available to order on request.

The Carpet Surround Trim is produced in a selection of materials, moulded plastic, coated steel, brushed stainless steel and brass. The unit is produced in a single piece format to ensure rigidity, with a bevelled edge to retain floor finish and minimise wear.

The Sub-frame is manufactured in a single piece format, incorporating tile support flanges, with each primary compartment punched to
accommodate two 1-gang (BS 1363 - 86mm format) wiring accessories (not included), with integral detachable center bar to suit various outlets as required.

Outlet Plates, if required are produced with standard BS1363 fixing centres in an 86mm primary width format, please refer to page 4 for standard selection.

The Base Box Unit design, is based around 86mm primary width compartments, with the additional flexibility to be equally sub-divided to provide increased compartmentation if required . Each compartment option is provided with an independent earth point, also with 2 - Ø20mm and 2 - Ø25mm knockouts.
