The speakers are specialists in the field and will use case studies to demonstrate ways in which sustainable design can be used to obtain competitive advantage.

Paul Toyne – Head of Sustainability, Bovis Lend Lease
Paul’s presentation will provide an introduction to sustainability, exploring the drivers that influence the built environment. He will provide case studies on areas of innovation that show actions taken to address sustainability with an emphasis on design.
Wayne Tantrum – Director of Sustainable Development Group, Interserve
Wayne will focus his presentation on the effect of sustainable design on improving the ‘Patient Journey’ and the FM service provision in a PFI hospital.
Hot topic – Social Aspects of Design
David Arthur – Technical Employment Support Adviser, Royal Society for the Blind
This presentation considers aspects of design that impact on two major groups of disabled people. With an increasing aging population, more and more people are likely to be affected by visual impairment or mobility problems.
