Date: 26 Feb 2003

SJ Berwin have advised The Crown Estate in connection with the £200m redevelopment of 229-247 Regent Street, London W1.

The scheme, part of the The Crown Estate plans for a £500m revamp of the street, will provide 5,390 sq m of retail and leisure in three units on Regent Street and one each on Princes Street and Hanover Street. There are also plans for 12,000 sq m of office space on the upper floors.

Bryan Pickup who led the team at SJ Berwin said
“this has been a hugely rewarding project for us, our having won the Regent Street tender in 2002. In particular, the vacant possession programme has been one of the most complex we have dealt with. We look forward to continuing working with The Crown Estate in property, planning and construction work across their Regent Street portfolio”.

Bryan Pickup led the multi-disciplinary team at SJ Berwin which included Pat Ryan and Helen Sills on property aspects, Duncan Field on planning, Martin Scott on construction and Michael Metliss and Jason Juden on obtaining vacant possession notices.
