Spacia - Industrial Development - London SW8, Parry Street

Date: 06 Mar 2003

Spacia – the UK’s largest small business landlord – has begun work on site at Parry Street and Newport Street, Vauxhall, as part of a wider scheme to re-develop 26,500 sq ft of railway arch space in the area.

Following investment of £588,000 by Spacia, five railway arches are being refurbished with completion due in April 2003 (Parry Street) and August 2003 (Newport Street). Both schemes will be let as light industrial units to serve the local business community.

The recent 15,200 sq ft (1,412 sq m) refurbishment of six arches in Bondway, Vauxhall - now Handel Business Centre - was completed in October 2002 and has recently been let to a single occupier as light industrial units.

Adrian Schofield, National Development Manager, Spacia commented: “With the success of Handel Business Park we have recognised the demand from local business for new, innovative business space close to transport hubs. We are pleased to be re-developing additional arch space in Vauxhall to offer business accommodation at an affordable rate.

“The three schemes will add to Spacia’s portfolio of nearly 2,000 properties in South London.”

Plans for large-scale railway arch re-development schemes in Battersea and Waterloo are also underway.
