Construction of the latest development at Hounsdown Business Park in Totton is bang on target report Humberts Commercial in Southampton. With more developments set to follow!
The £1.5M build contract for new industrial/warehouse units by Trant Construction saw construction of a total of 30,000 sq ft get underway earlier in the year.
The new development will offer five new industrial/warehouse units ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 sq ft with well equipped first floor offices and 60 car parking spaces. The units will be available to lease through Humberts and are on schedule for completion in August.
Humberts have also received instructions to market a further two sites for sale on the popular estate – which is already home to Russ Berrie, Cable & Wireless, Dixons/Mastercare, New Forest Ice Cream and McNicholas Construction.
The additional development sites, both 0.6 acres, can offer new build industrial, warehouse or office buildings for sale or rent.
“There is huge demand for good quality buildings to purchase as they are currently in short supply,” explains Andrew Archibald of Humberts.
“We anticipate considerable interest from owner occupiers looking to purchase their own buildings with the opportunity to have them purpose-designed to suit their specific requirements. It usually takes about 9 - 12 months to complete a new development from preparation of plans, to finishing construction.
“For tenants who need to move more quickly, we have the well designed, quality built new industrial/warehouse units currently under construction which will become available in August.”
