Kenmore purchase prime tourist retail development near Gleneagles Hotel.

The Kenmore Group has purchased a unique 50,000 sq ft tourism retail development at Blackford, set within a short distance from Gleneagles Hotel, along the A9 between Stirling and Perth.

Baxter have taken a pre let of 25,000 sq ft which will provide a "Lifestyle" theme restaurant and retail facilities. The concept is based on their Highland Village in Fochabers and continued at Ocean Terminal in Leith, Edinburgh.

The Tullibardine Distillery provides the second anchor tenant. Tullibardine produce a quality single malt and will provide distillery tours and further facilities within the 6,000 sq ft visitors centre. Negotiations are at an advanced stage to provide the primary tourist information centre for Perth and Kinross.

The remainder of the development will provide 15,000 sq ft of retail space. Significant interest has been expressed to date and Kenmore is focusing on high quality Scottish retails. Montagu Evans are acting for Kenmore.
