Miller Birch has launched its flagship development scheme, ng2, in Nottingham providing a well-anticipated boost to the business and investment market in the East Midlands.

ng2 is a 15.38-hectare (38-acre) site located adjacent to the city centre on Queen’s Drive, one of the city’s main arterial routes, and offers the potential for 92,900 sq m (1,000,000 sq ft) of space.

Some 29,725 sq m (320,000 sq ft) has already been committed to by two prestigious companies. International business solutions company Experian will base its European headquarters at the site and DIY retailer Homebase opened for trading on 23rd May from a new 7,430 sq m (80,000sq ft) flagship store. A further 5,000 sq m (54,000 sq ft) of space is allocated for a health and fitness facility.

ng2 was officially launched at a special ceremony today with representatives from Experian, Nottingham City Council, EMDA, national and local property agents and the wider business community who were given a tour of the development site.

Peter Gadsby, chairman of Miller Birch comments: “ng2 offers occupiers an opportunity to carve out a bold future for themselves in the East Midlands. The outstanding quality of the development has resulted in it attracting two major occupiers prior to our official launch and their confidence in the site has been fully justified.”

ng2 is fully integrated into the city’s transport network and the second phase of the Nottingham Express Transit tram system is proposed to pass through the centre of the site.

Derek Mapp, chairman of East Midlands Development Agency comments: “ng2 is the quality of scheme which raises the standard of opportunity for investment in the City of Nottingham and the wider East Midlands Region.”

Miller Birch is now marketing ng2 to regional, national and international occupiers.
