Douglas Duff - Offices Development - Bedford, Priory Business Park
Date: 09 Jul 2003
Priory Business Park, Bedford, is set to expand further with a series of new purpose-built business facilities already moving from the drawing board onto firm foundations. And, offering properties for sale or for letting, these facilities will provide a much-needed boost to the availability of freehold commercial property in the Bedford area, say agents Douglas Duff.
"Bedford needs more freehold commercial properties and has successfully attracted speculative investment" said Andrew Clarke of Douglas Duff. "The town offers a number of strategic advantages for enterprising businesses – such as a central UK location with good communications, skilled workforce and lower rents than some parts of the South East - so Priory Business Park is likely to continue growing successfully, and creating new employment opportunities at the same time."
There are exciting developments currently under construction at Priory Business Park:
Work has started on Phases 2 and 3 of Abbey Court, a speculative development of high-quality buildings for sale containing two-storey office units on a 1.4-acre site. Phase 1 is already completed and the units have all been sold. Phases 2 and 3 will be completed by November 2003.
Work is about to start on Franklin Court, another new speculative development by Gladman Developments. Seven detached office buildings, of two and three storeys, will provide office accommodation from 5,000 to 25,000 sq ft (465 to 2,323 sq m), including one headquarters-style building.
