Hartnell Taylor Cook - Offices Development - Bristol, Tower Wharf
Date: 03 Oct 2003
Planning Granted for New Waterfront Landmark Building, Bristol.
HBG Properties Ltd has obtained planning consent for a new 68,880 sq ft [00,000 sq m] headquarters building in Bristol City Centre.
The scheme, located overlooking the Floating Harbour, next to the Shot Tower, is to be called Tower Wharf.
HBG Construction Ltd will start on site in January 2004 on the new building, which is to be built to a high specification and will include air conditioning, raised floors, three passenger lifts and suspended ceilings. Tower Wharf is laid out on six floors, with a typical floorplate of 13,230 sq ft [00,000 sq m] and basement parking for some 40 cars. It is anticipated the building will be available for occupation in Summer 2005.
The scheme is located in close proximity of both Temple Meads and Broadmead.
Martin Hill, Regional Director of HBG Properties said: ‘We are delighted planning has been granted and we can now start the construction process on this derelict site. It is a very exciting project and we are looking forward to providing the city with good quality waterside offices, which will potentially attract a quality occupier to the city’.
Alistair Bond of Hartnell Taylor Cook, joint letting agents with DTZ commented: ‘The supply of built high quality buildings is limited and this will give occupiers the opportunity to move without having to wait for a pre-let’.
