Specialist industrial and warehouse property company sbh.uk has been appointed to act as agent for the fitting out of a new egg processing plant for Fresh Pak Chilled Foods Limited. The project involves equipping an existing factory shell in Barnsley with new production plant including boiler systems, compressed air, water storage, cookware, processing machinery and trade effluent accommodation. sbh.uk’s storage expertise will come into play with the provision of a number of food safe rooms to various specifications according to the processes involved.

The award follows a number of projects in the food industry completed by sbh.uk for companies such as Geest, Brake Bros and Virgin Trains’ Rail Gourmet business, and a recent assignment from Ferndale Foods. Founded in the 1980’s, Fresh Pak has developed into a leading supplier of convenience chilled foods and is the largest producer of egg mayonnaise in Europe.
