Leading fashion retailer, River Island have relocated from The Quadrant Shopping Centre in Swansea and have taken a prime unit on Oxford Street in Swansea city centre.

The retailer has commenced fitting out works on their new three-storey unit, which will provide ground and first floor sales totalling 6,200 sq ft. The new unit is close to Marks & Spencer, Next and Top Man/Top Shop and opposite the site of the proposed Castle Quays Shopping Centre.

River Island acquired the unit from UBS Triton Property Fund on a new 15-year lease at a commencing rental of £250,000 per annum.

The unit became available following a surrender of the existing lease to Dixons.

UBS Triton Property Fund purchased the property in May 2002 when the lease to Dixons had just 6 years unexpired.

Hartnell Taylor Cook advised the landlord, UBS Triton Property Fund. Colliers CRE advised both DSG Retail Ltd and River Island.
