CLS Holdings plc - General Development - Planning Consent Granted for London Bridge Tower

Date: 19 Nov 2003

The Directors of CLS Holdings plc are delighted to announce that planning permission for the construction of London Bridge Tower (the “Shards of Glass”) has been granted by the Secretary of State. The project, led by the Sellar Property Group, in which both Sellar and CLS each have a one-third interest, will be one of the UK’s most exciting buildings comprising shops, offices, hotel, residential and leisure facilities and, at over 300m (1000ft) high, the tallest building in Europe.

Sten Mortstedt, Executive Chairman of CLS Holdings plc, commented,

“The application has been the subject of one of the most rigorous and comprehensive inquiries for any new proposed building. We are delighted by the decision as it gives us the opportunity to create what will become one of the world’s most impressive buildings. We expect London Bridge Tower designed by acclaimed architect Renzo Piano, to become an international landmark. For CLS to be an integral part of this substantial project is excellent news for the Company and its shareholders.”
