Davies Lavery - General Development - Battle, East Sussex
Date: 05 Mar 2004
Westridge Surveying Services (WSS) have concluded an agreement to provide East Sussex County Health Care NHS Trust with a new health care facility in Battle. The building, located opposite the station, will house a GP surgery as well as facilities for Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Mental Health Specialists, Physiotherapists, District and Community Nurses and is being constructed by WSS's construction arm Westridge Construction Limited.
The health facility is the latest phase of Westridge's redevelopment of the former industrial site at Station Approach Battle. Previous phases have included 11 houses and 4500 sq ft of office space. This phase includes eleven apartments and a 2000 sq ft office building as well as the health facility.
Richard Blackman, Associate for Davies Lavery's Commercial Property Division commented "We act for a number of developers involved in constructing new healthcare facilities. This is an excellent example of WSS's expertise in mixed use developments and one that will provide improved healthcare facilities to the Battle community."
Steve Smith of WSS said "We are delighted to have exchanged contracts on this project and look forward to the building being completed around October 2004 and once again are very pleased with the legal advice provided by Davies Lavery which is always commercial and pragmatic."
