Hartnell Taylor Cook - Retail Letting - Glasgow, Miller Street
Date: 12 May 2004
Specialist ribbon retailer, V V Rouleaux are to open their first store out of London, following the agreement of terms on 94 Miller Street, Glasgow, an attractive listed building
The unit, which will open in May, is located close to Royal Exchange Square and provides a ground floor sales area of 2,600 sq ft with 1,200 sq ft ancillary basement. V V Rouleaux are taking the premises on a new ten-year lease at a commencing rental of £55,000 per annum from Exchange Court Properties.
Gareth Holland of retained agents, Hartnell Taylor Cook, said: "This is a very exciting start to V V Rouleaux's plans to gain representation within major cities within the UK. The unique concept is well suited to architecturally interesting buildings that may well not be useable by more conventional retailers."
V V Rouleaux opened their first store in 1990 in Parsons Green, after recognising the need for a specialist ribbon retailer following the demise of general haberdashery stores. The business has grown substantially with two shops currently trading on Marylebone High Street and Sloane Square. Their clients range from advertising companies, fashion designers, interiors decorators and the general public.
The new store will offer the full range of products including ribbons, bullions, grimps, tie-backs, tassels, beaded trims and flowers.
Hartnell Taylor Cook's London office advised V V Rouleaux and the landlords, Exchange Court Properties represented themselves.
