Turnstone Estates - Mixed-Use Development - Cambridge, Cineworld Cinema

Turnstone Estates has officially launched its Cambridge Leisure mixed use development, with the opening of Cineworld cinema at the site.

The new nine screen cinema, which seats over 1,700, anchors the 11,334 sq m (122,000 sq ft) leisure scheme. Other occupiers opening soon include Tenpin Bowling, Pizza Hut, Frankie & Benny's, Subway, Choices, LA Fitness and a 120-bed Travelodge hotel.

Chris Goldsmith, managing director of Turnstone Estates says: "The launch of Cineworld, marks a day we have been working towards for eight years. We are proud to have worked in partnership with Cambridge Council on the city's largest ever leisure scheme."

Steve Wiener, the STET of Cine UK Ltd, comment: "We are delighted to be part of Cambridge Leisure and are confident that this scheme will provide a modern facility that is destined to become a popular leisure destination for Cambridge and the surrounding areas."

Tenpin Bowling, Pizza Hut and Frankie and Benny's Italian-themed restaurant are due to open this month. Subway sandwich store and Choices, which sells and rents DVDs and games, will open in June followed by LA Fitness club and Travelodge hotel in July.

There are a limited number of restaurant and bar units available in the main leisure building, ranging from 176 sq m (1,900 sq ft) to 1,393 sq m (15,000 sq ft). Chris Goldsmith adds: "We are in negotiations with several restaurant/bar operators and hope to have further deals to announce very soon."

Letting agents are Januarys Commercial.

The architects are Cambridge firm CMC. Main contractor is Birse Build.
