Overbury - Offices Development - £2.2 Million Scheme for DTC
Date: 04 Jun 2004
Office fit out specialist Overbury has been awarded a £2.2 million scheme to refurbish the offices of diamond retailers DTC in central London.
The scheme is the latest in a series of six projects, worth in excess of £10 million, that Overbury has carried out for DTC in the two years as part of a rolling scheme to refurbish two complexes in central London. Under the current 27-week scheme, which starts on site this month, Overbury will fit out a cinema, reception area, and diamond preparation area for DTC.
Previous projects have included the refurbishment of diamond sorting areas, sales and marketing rooms, administration areas, kitchens and a dining room. The sales and marketing areas are specially designed with high quality finishes as showcase areas for visiting clients, while the diamond sorting rooms are fitted out to a specific technical criteria, including bespoke carpets with a special grid system purpose-designed to prevent diamond loss. The diamond sorting rooms also include benches with special anti-vibration features due to the high sensitivity of the technical equipment used.
"We are delighted that DTC has chosen to work with us again on this latest scheme," says Chris Booth, Overbury managing director. "We have developed a great working relationship with the client and we are looking forward to building on that during this new project."
