SladenAston Developments - Mixed-Use Development - Doncaster, Wheatley Hall Road

Date: 21 Jun 2004

SladenAston Developments' 19-acre brown field Doncaster scheme - funded by Deutsche Bank - has gained outline planning permission.

The site will be suitable for a wide range of mixed uses offering car showrooms, office park, trade counter and light industrial use. The scheme will offer high quality buildings set in a landscaped environment.

Detailed planning has also been secured for new roads and drainage that will service the scheme, with infrastructure works due to commence later this month.

The development is just to the north of the city centre, off Wheatley Hall Road, bordering the area encompassed in the master plan of the Doncaster Urban Renaissance programme.

SladenAston's scheme is not part of the renaissance programme but it will provide much needed roadside, industrial and commercial accommodation.

Infrastructure work is due to commence July 2004, with the first buildings scheduled for completion early 2005.

Agents for the development land are M3 (London), King Sturge (Leeds) and Chappell & Co (Doncaster).
