Fairgate Group - Offices Development - London W8, Holland Road and Kensington High Street

Date: 22 Jun 2004

Fairgate Group has appointed boxmill consulting to project manage the £6 million extensive internal and external refurbishment of its nine-storey office building on the corner of Holland Road and Kensington High Street, London W8.

The facelift of the 75,000 sq ft (6,967 sq m) concrete framed property will include the renewal of the external cladding. Planning permission has been granted by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea for a roof terrace and a two-storey glazed reception atrium, with a full height glass staircase.

Danny Chalkley, director of boxmill consulting, comments: "We are delighted to be appointed to work on this scheme. It is a large scale, complex job with challenging constraints."

The vacant property was previously occupied by Citibank. Built in the 1920s, it was first used as a multi-storey car park and converted into office use in the 1970s with a 7th floor added.
