Date: 13 Jul 2004
The brand new Hungarian Headquarters for the ING Banking and Insurance Group, located at Dozsa Gyorgy Ut, 84 B & C in Budapest, Hungary, has been completed.
The 46,000 sq m scheme comprises 14,000 sq m of parking on three basement levels, and 32,000 sq m of offices seven levels above ground. It includes some of the most sophisticated, complex, geometric design in Europe, two transparent atria, and stone and metal-faced external walls, which slope at various angles to provide visual variation to the 100m long facades.
Monk Dunstone Associates (MDA) provided cost consultancy and project and construction management for the scheme as well as project planning, site supervision and management of the mechanical and electrical installations.
John Collinge, director of MDA's international arm, said: "Given the design complexity of the scheme, we had to be flexible and innovative in our approach to ensure that the project was delivered on time and on budget. The finished product is one of the most striking schemes in Europe."
The Architect for the scheme was Erick van Egeraat.
