sbh - Industrial Development - Kent, New Hythe

Distribution and food storage property specialist sbh.uk has been appointed to project manage a new multi-temperature food distribution centre in New Hythe, Kent, for Brake Bros. The 7,270 sq m (79,000 sq ft) development will include a -20ºC cold store, a + 5ºC chilled marshalling area, an ambient warehouse and a 790 sq m (8,600 sq ft) two storey office block. The building will provide 10m (33 ft) clear internal space served by 40 loading bay doors with dock levellers and shelters. External works include parking for 170 cars and 80+ lorries.

The centre is scheduled for completion in October 2004. It underpins sbh.uk's growing expertise in this sector with numerous projects completed both for Brakes Bros and other food suppliers including Ferndale Foods, Geest, Kelloggs and Virgin Trains' Catering Service Centres.
