Overbury - Offices Development - £45 Million Refurbishment Programme
Date: 27 Aug 2004
Office fit out specialist Overbury is working with the Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) on its national roll out programme to combine the Social Security Office and Job Centre locations into the re-branded Jobcentre Plus. Overbury is halfway through a four year, £45 million refurbishment programme, and is one of 12 contractors carrying out works across around 1000 sites in the UK.
The new Jobcentre Plus offices have been purpose-designed with a 'civic' feel, aiming at a welcoming, professional environment and improved customer service.
The projects include the added challenge of location, with many situated in areas with special social needs. Overbury continues to carry out a number of schemes throughout London having completed amongst others Westminster, Finsbury Park, Romford, Peckham, Sutton and three in Hampshire.
"Overbury's partnership with DWP has worked extremely well and we are pleased to be part of what promises to be an exciting new look for DWP's Jobcentre Plus brand" says Chris Booth, managing director, Overbury.
