A development site near Stockport is being offered for sale via formal tender through commercial property agents Douglas Duff's Chester office. The site extends to 1.6 acres, and outline planning consent has already been obtained for up to 20 residential units.

"As development sites are so rarely available and so much sought-after, we have had considerable interest in this site" said Mark Fearnall, agency manager of Douglas Duff's Chester office. "The formal tender procedure is the fairest way to offer such sites to a wide range of interested parties."

The land offered is the site of a former school at Offerton, near Stockport. In addition to the outline planning consent already obtained, further detailed planning consents will need to be secured before building work can be started. The site is situated within a suburban residential area and has views of open fields on one side; it also contains a wooded area which is expected to remain as part of any landscaping done by residential developers.
