Chaos Design Consultants - General - London W1, Oxford Street
Date: 06 Jun 2005
Lighting design consultancy, Chaos Design Consultants, have just completed the installation of two large lighting features at the new Boots flagship store in Oxford Street, London.
"The first feature is a "light tile" wall consisting of LED illuminated colour-changing tiles interspersed with plasma screens", explained designer Jonty Savile. "There are sixty tiles in all, with four plasma screens set in-between the tiles. This special wall reaches three entire floors, adjacent to the escalators and produces a stunning display in the new store. The second feature is made up of an array of over 450 bright blue LEDs with special light dispersing acrylic panels, spread over two floors at the entrance to the store, which can be easily seen by anyone traveling down Oxford Street".
"Although these installations are in a large retail property, they can easily be adapted for use in restaurants, museums, nightclubs and bars etc.", explained Business Development Manager, Sonja Francis. "The light tiles can be made in any size and create an eye-catching and innovative display. In addition the tiles can have graphics placed on them for advertising purposes".
Chaos Design Consultants was set up eighteen months ago by Jonty Savile and Sonja Francis to design and specify feature lighting, illuminated signage and point-of-sale units for architects, interior designers, PR agencies etc.
