Award winning building services contractors Briggs & Forrester enjoyed a successful working relationship with services consultants, the Rolton Group whilst completing extensive works at BMW Plant Hams Hall plant and are delighted to be teaming up with both again on a new project to extend BMW Group Plant Oxford where the MINI is produced.

The new 15,000 sq m extension to the 'Body in White' building will, from 2007, provide additional space for over 80 people and 160 computer-controlled robots to assemble body shells to meet future production demands and fulfil worldwide orders for the MINI.

Briggs & Forrester will install mechanical, electrical and public health services that include above ground drainage, installation of new water heaters and associated hot water service distribution, gas fired boiler plant, low temperature hot water heating system, general supply and extract ventilation systems and new cooling units. Also, central control/BMS system, new LV distribution and small power, new lighting and emergency lighting to office and process areas, external lighting, data containment, access control, fire detection and lightning protection.

The contract is scheduled for completion at the end of the year.
