TSK Group - Offices Development - Manchester, NCHA Portfolio
Date: 19 Sep 2005
Workplace environment specialist The TSK Group has begun working on-site at the new Corporate Headquarters of Northern Counties Housing Association (NCHA), one of the largest housing associations in England responsible for over 20,000 homes. The new Corporate Centre is one of the largest ongoing construction projects in Oldham, and the new offices will bring together a number of existing departments currently housed in separate offices in Manchester city centre, along with an entirely new customer-service centre. TSK has developed a working environment solution that is catered specifically to the business practices of the organisation; helping to inspire inter-departmental communication and facilitate a positive working culture, whilst ensuring cost-effective use of space and increased efficiencies in ongoing running and maintenance costs.
TSK began working at the new building on September 19th, and the NCHA Staff are expected to move in to the new offices early next year.
TSK, based at Salford Quays in Manchester, has already worked with a number of housing groups, including Merseyside's Riverside Group, and Helen Rowland, NCHA's Project Manager for the move commented,
"TSK's previous work with other housing associations demonstrated to us the positive influence they can have on the success of a project such as this. They have offered advice and developed designs that have ensured we get it right first time, and allowed us to use the move to instigate positive organisational change."
The new office will immediately house over 240 employees, and will combine financial, housing and regeneration and customer-service departments of the NCHA operation. TSK has provided all the services required for the construction of the office environments, including interior design, furniture solutions and audio-visual design and installation. TSK will also help the non-profit organisation in the moving process when the building is complete.
The new office environment designed by TSK includes elements that physically represent Northern Counties' working philosophy titled 'Really Making a Difference'. Each department will have visual reminders of how they can make a difference to customers, to homes and services, and by achieving excellence.
Andrew Burns, Joint Managing Director at TSK commented,
"We were able to utilise our expertise in design and workplace management to help Northern Counties bring together their different departments into one team, whilst reinforcing the organisation's corporate philosophy. By providing the complete solution, from consultancy to delivery, we have been able to help NCHA to harness the potential of the move, further developing their customer-service focus throughout their organisation, whilst achieving efficiencies in cost and working practices."
