Marubeni-Komatsu Limited - General - Komatsu WB93R-2 PPC Backhoe Loader

Marubeni-Komatsu, the UK's distributor of Komatsu equipment, has recently sold a new Komatsu WB93R-2 PPC backhoe loader. One of the first of its kind to be purchased in the UK the loader has been delivered to KR&J Selby, a family-run business based on the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset, operating within the agricultural and construction industries.

The backhoe loader is a premium digging machine. Due to the increased popularity of other types of equipment, the backhoe loader market has declined in the UK. However, Komatsu recognised the multiple benefits and versatility of using backhoe loaders and as a result, the company has modernised the machines for quality performance and operator precision control. A partner of KR& J Selby, Malcolm Selby, is very impressed with the capabilities of the Komatsu loader.

Malcolm is selective in his choice of machines. Prior to his purchase of the WB93R-2 PPC backhoe loader he was a customer loyal to only a few companies. He was very pleased with the build quality and drivability of the Komatsu. In particular, the pilot proportional servo controls (PPC) enabled ease of operation and smooth speed control, making the machine very accurate to use.

The "Syncro System" hydraulics of the Komatsu WB93R-2 PPC ensures high operating efficiency in all conditions, allowing shorter working cycles and therefore greater productivity. Ample space is evident when sitting in the Space Cab. A new air conditioning system and maximum window space, offer the operator optimum comfort in the cab.

Ergonomically designed for maximum comfort and sturdiness, the backhoe loader has excellent dumping heights and superb digging power. This is further enhanced by the telescopic arms, or the device to stretch beyond the wheel outline for greater versatility. A wide range of buckets and appliances is available to ensure customers have a machine built to specification. It was Mike Shrimpton of Mid West Machinery Ltd, a utility dealer within the construction industry, who recommended the backhoe loader to Malcolm Selby.
