Alder King - Retail Development - Falmouth, Discovery Quay

New Cornwall Developments Ltd has announced plans for the development of the next phase of Falmouth's exclusive leisure and retail development, according to property consultants Alder King.

The well-known Discovery Quay is located adjoining the marina and the National Maritime Museum Cornwall, and is centred around the Museum Square public entertainment space.

The first phase was pre-let and is trading strongly with retail tenants including Chatham Clothing, Zel Surfwear and Becky Biddle.

Construction of the next phase is due to commence at the beginning of the New Year and will comprise two floors of retail/restaurant space with office and residential accommodation over. The retail/restaurant element will extend to some 23,000 sq ft.

Nigel Gibbons, Head of Alder King's Retail and Leisure Agency Department, sole agents for the developers, commented:
