Pointer - Appointment - Hayley Winney

Pointer, one of the UK's leading providers of IP and integrated hybrid security solutions, has appointed Hayley Winney as its new IP Solutions Manager.

Hayley - who has over 10 years' experience in IP based technology - will bolster Pointer's rapidly expanding Edinburgh operation. She will be responsible for overseeing and implementing Pointer's transformation into a fully integrated IP solutions provider.

Formerly Account Manager for Indigo Vision, one of the leading manufacturers of complete IP Video solutions for the security market, the 38 year-old also spent two years with Cisco Systems as a Software Engineer.

Hayley said: "There are a lot of myths and scepticism regarding the integration of security and IP technology and it is my responsibility to dispel these. I am bringing with me a real enthusiasm for IP and a strongly held belief that IP is by no means rocket science, and that everyone is capable of understanding.

"Although IP is still an emerging technology in many people's eyes, it is now being used all over the world in varying levels of installations. There are currently very few companies who have the skill set to design, install, commission and maintain an IP system. Pointer is already one of these and I am confident that we will be at the forefront of the industry for many years."
