King Sturge - Industrial Development - Swindon, RO24 Swindon

Date: 09 Nov 2005

RO Developments has acquired a 2.8 acre site at South Marston Park from Prologis, through agents King Sturge.

RO Developments has submitted a planning application for 22 speculative industrial units ranging from 1,250 sqft to 8,000 sq ft and construction is programmed to start on site in Jan 2006 and is to be known as RO24 Swindon.

RO24 Swindon is the latest RO24 scheme and follows on from RO24 Eastlake and RO24 Harlow which were completed earlier this year and RO24 Stonebridge which is now on site.

Further RO24 schemes are planned in Peterborough, Harlow and Hemel Hempstead and additional sites are currently being sought.

Richard Bourne of RO Developments said, "We have been keen to invest in Swindon following the success of our developments at Churchward Village and Abbeymeads."

King Sturge partner Jeremy Sutton said, "South Marston Park is the premier business park in Swindon and RO24 Swindon will prove extremely attractive to occupiers and investors alike. Over 80% of the RO's schemes at RO24 Eastlake and RO24 Harlow were under offer before practical completion and we expect a similar level of take up at South Marston."

King Sturge have been appointed as sole selling agents.
