Westfield and Hermes - Leisure Development - Derby, Eagle Centre

Westfield and Hermes have been granted planning consent for the development of a new state-of-the-art, 12-screen cinema in the Eagle Centre, Derby.
Operated by National Amusements, the world's largest private cinema operator, the 70,000 sq ft, 2,600-seat multiplex cinema will provide Derby's cinema-goers with the revolutionary 'Cinema de Lux' movie experience. Featuring the most innovative technology in sound and vision, accompanied with the cinema's luxury amenities and services offer, the new cinema will provide an unparalleled entertainment experience for Derby's cinema-goers.
Speaking after the decision by Derby City Council's development control committee, Peter Miller, Development Director, Westfield, commented: "Westfield is delighted to receive this result. It represents a further £30 investment that will provide an even greater boost to Derby's city centre and its continuing regeneration."
