SPPARC Architecture - Offices Development - London EC4, Old Bailey

SPPARC Architecture has completed the £0.9 million refurbishment to CAT A fit-out of Mitsui & Co UK Plc's offices at 20 Old Bailey, London, EC4M 7QQ.

The project follows the relocation of Mitsui to new offices at 24 King William Street and the accommodation at the Old Bailey is being let to new tenants for the remaining six years of the lease.

Mitsui & Co UK Plc, a trading, investment and service enterprise, commissioned SPPARC to develop four hypothetical space plans for prospective tenants, enhance the shell and core, improve WC facilities and install new ceilings and finishes, while retaining the high quality of the original 1980s design.

SPPARC's approach integrates a modern palette of materials and feature lighting, which respects the original design quality and makes the space more suitable for existing and future working practices.

Savills was project manager for the scheme.
