Briggs & Forrester - Offices Development - London SE1, Guy & St. Thomas Hospital

Award winning building services contractors Briggs & Forrester have successfully completed a contract valued at £752k to install a new steam boiler at Guy & St. Thomas's Hospital, London.

Taking on the roles of both main contractor and consultant, the Special Projects Division obtained architectural and planning approvals and carried a structural assessment prior to completing remedial works to floors, bases and flues. They went on to negotiate installation of a new gas supply before completing works that included fitting of gas boosters, controls, general electrics and a fire detection system.

The contract was completed without the loss of supplies whilst the hospital was open and providing it's usual services to the community.
