Area Sq - Offices Development - London SW1, Grosvenor Place

Area Sq, the office design and fit-out specialist has completed the 12 week fit-out of TATA Consultancy Services new £14,000 sq ft office in Grosvenor Place, London SW1.

With more than 45,000 employees in 32 countries and $2.24 billion (U.S.) annual turnover last year, TATA Consultancy Services is the world-leading information technology consulting organisation. The Group aim at becoming one of the top 10 global companies by 2010 and these ambitions were reflected in the project brief: the new office has been designed to provide TCS with a platform for further growth.

The design brief was based around creating a unique site with a strong branding and high tech facilities. The video conferencing suite boasts impressive joinery and includes a unique V-shaped boardroom table. The branding is also reflected in the blue lighting throughout the scheme.

Another important challenge of the design brief was to make maximum use of the natural light, which comes from the central atrium of the building. To achieve this, glass partitioning has been used to give a contemporary and open feel to the workplace.
