EC Harris - Mixed-Use Development - Indonesia, Jakarta's Central Business District

EC Harris has been appointed by PT. Grand Indonesia to work on its prestigious multi-complex project in Jakarta's Central Business District.

The project, due to be completed in April 2007, will cover two distinct areas with a total building area of 650,000 sq m. Construction on the project will see the creation of two shopping malls (totalling more than 200,000 sq m) with a bridge connecting both shopping malls, hotel, residential apartments, commercial block, and car parking.

The hotel refurbishment is one of only a few listed buildings in Jakarta and on completion will be a five star hotel run by a Singaporean hotel operator. The value of the project is estimated at approximately 1.9 billion (Indonesian Rupees).

EC Harris has been appointed to supply executive quantity surveying audit services. The international consultancy's initial involvement in the project has been to audit the structure work of the mall and car parking areas.

PT. Grand Indonesia is a member of the Djarum Group, one of the largest conglomerates in Indonesia.
