Jackson Building Services - Retail Development - Chelmsford, Chelmer Village Retail Park

Date: 08 Mar 2006

Jackson Building Services has secured a £1.4 million project with Morley Fund Management, as the asset management specialist reviews its national retail portfolio. The scheme at the Chelmer Village Retail Park in Essex, closely follows Jackson's £450K project in Southend-On-Sea, awarded by Morley in December and completed one month ahead of schedule.

The latest project will see Jackson Building Services convert two existing retail units into three outlets, installing new partition walling and redesigning the entrances to the stores. The contractor will also construct a new steel frame extension to an existing unit on the park to create an additional retail outlet. The final phase of the project will see Jackson install a feature canopy above the walkway, with the scheme due for completion in September.

Michael Manning, construction director for Jackson Building Services, commented: "The company's experience of working within live retail environments, delivering high quality construction solutions to tight deadlines continues to prove an attractive proposition to clients. Jackson Building Services continues to capitalise on the successful formula of possessing the infrastructure and support services of a much larger main contractor with the flexibility, hands on management and attention to detail of a small works business."
