Maris Interiors LLP - General - New Major Projects Division
Date: 10 Mar 2006
Office design & fit-out specialist Maris Interiors LLP today announced the launch of a major projects division. The new division, launched on the back of Maris's most recent major project success; the 115,000 sq ft EMEA HQ for global communications giant Motorola in Basingstoke, Hampshire, will focus on interior fit-outs ranging from £2 million - £12 million. Managing Partner Matt Harris will head up the new team drawing on a wealth of experience gained from 19 years in the property industry.
The division will be resourced by a dedicated team of in-house project managers, cost consultants, architects, designers, building services engineers and construction specialists all with major project experience.
Operating from the group head office in Central London the division will be offering 'bespoke procurement', which provides clients with a tailored and project specific approach to their major fit-outs.
"Our experience on these larger projects tells us that we need to be flexible when considering the procurement route. By a marriage of true turnkey design and build and industry best practice from other market sectors, we can deliver a unique quality project unavailable from the so-called 'traditional contractors'.
Early involvement allows us to provide consultative style advice that covers design, programming and cost budgeting. Uniquely our multi-disciplined approach to these projects provides clients with a comprehensive insight into the project" said Matt Harris.
Research undertaken recently by the Chartered Institute of Building discovered that the design and build method was typically 40% faster and 15% cheaper than traditional multi-contractor methods.
During 2005 Maris undertook 83 projects covering over 1 million sq ft of office space generating revenues of £55 million. With 20 Partners and 120 highly skilled employees Maris are ideally placed to fulfil the demands and high expectations of major corporations undertaking fast track fit-out projects.
