Space Property - Industrial Development - Chesham, Moor Road

Date: 02 Jun 2006

Hillview Developments and Space Property have 'topped out' at the first phase of Chess Business Park, the 4.6 acre (1.86 hectare) business/industrial development on Moor Road, Chesham.

Cheryl Gillan, MP for Amersham and Chesham, cut the ribbon in a ceremony marking this significant stage in construction of the first of three development phases.

The first phase of the 36-unit development comprises five industrial/warehouse units, with first-floor office space, ranging from 2,100 to 14,000 sq ft (195 to 1,301 sq m) and available either on a freehold or leasehold basis.

Damian Brady, commercial director of Hillview Developments, commented: "Today marks a significant milestone for Hillview Developments and Space Property as we celebrate the completion of the first phase of Chess Business Park. Uptake on this development of commercial and industrial units has been impressive to date and strengthens our position as we move to pre-selling units in phase two."

Alex Gale, development director of Space Property, stated: "We are delighted that completion has occurred on the first phase, on time and within budget. There has been strong demand with Unit 1 already let and a single occupier looking at Units 4 & 5 and separate interest in Units 2 & 3 being shown."

The units at the park are specifically designed for the owner managed business sector, offering high finishes internally and externally. Unit 1, totalling 16,622 sq ft (1,544 sq m) has already been let to Croxsons, the printing company.

Alan Chandler of Stupples, joint agent for the scheme, said: "We have received a lot of interest in phase one, reflecting the demand for high quality starter and business units in the North West M25 area. The scheme as a whole is also an ideal opportunity for occupier investment in commercial property."

Aitchison Raffety is joint agent for the scheme.
