Totty Building Services - Offices Development - Liverpool, The Cardiothoracic Centre

Date: 21 Jun 2006

Totty Building Services has secured a £340K project with Liverpool's specialist heart and chest hospital, The Cardiothoracic Centre in Broadgreen. The scheme at Robert Owen House will see Totty construct a two-storey extension at the rear of the building to provide a new visitor accommodation unit.

The new brick and block built extension will provide modern purpose built 'hotel style' accommodation for the families of patient's at the renowned centre, providing a total of nine double, single and family rooms with communal kitchen, lounge and dining facilities. The extension will be partially rendered and has been designed to blend seamlessly with the existing building, with the scheme scheduled for completion by December.

Philip Ryder, managing director of Totty Building Services, commented: "The company continues to work closely with NHS Trusts across Yorkshire and the North of England, successfully delivering projects that make a real difference for patients, staff and visitors. Real value can be added through early involvement in the project, and Totty works hard to maximise efficiencies throughout the entire build process, resulting in high quality and innovative solutions."
