Dean & Bowes - Offices Development - Cambridge, Judge Business School
Date: 17 Jul 2006
Dean & Bowes has won its latest project from the University of Cambridge at the world-renowned Judge Business School. The £475K fast track scheme will see the company create a new quiet study area within the School's library, with all the work carried out during the summer recess.
Dean & Bowes will strip out the existing library area and install a new steel frame mezzanine floor within the grade II listed building. The new quiet study area will feature a central elliptical viewing gallery with a continuous elliptical form desk and glass balustrade around the feature. The fit out specialist will reconfigure space within the library and upgrade existing mechanical & electrical services. The project is due for completion by early September.
Jim Parker, managing director of Dean & Bowes, commented: "Building strong and mutually beneficial relationships with our clients is a key element of the Dean & Bowes ethos. By delivering on our promises and consistently providing high quality value driven solutions, Dean & Bowes continues to partner with the University of Cambridge on a range of high profile and technically complex projects across the campus."
