Jackson Construction - Mixed-Use Development - Cambridge, £3.4 Million Chesterford Research Park Scheme
Date: 28 Jul 2006
Jackson Construction has won a further £3.4 million project with The Churchmanor Estates Co plc and Morley Fund Management at Chesterford Research Park, near Cambridge - adding to a £2 million project the company also secured last month to build a new R&D office unit at the Park.
The latest scheme will see Jackson construct a two-storey laboratory building, comprising around 3,800 sq m of floor space with a second floor plant loft above. The steel frame structure will feature brick and metal cladding to the facade, with Jackson creating a service yard at the rear of the new building, in addition to car parking and associated hard and soft landscaping. The project is due for completion in February 2007.
Chris Harrall, director of Jackson Construction's Commercial division, commented: "South Cambridge continues to prove an attractive location for bio-technology companies, with Jackson Construction working closely with Morley Fund Management and The Churchmanor Estates Co plc at Chesterford Research Park to build purpose built, high specification research & development facilities."
