TSK Group - Offices Other - Bradford, Fresh Thinking in New Morrisons HQ
Date: 23 Aug 2006
Workplace environment specialist TSK Group has completed work at the new Morrisons HQ in Bradford. In a project that has seen the relocation of three regional offices into one new building, a chief objective for the Morrisons management was to create a workplace that would help to establish a more positive, collaborative and productive working culture.
Roger Owen, Property Director at Morrisons commented:
"When developing the new headquarters, we wanted to create a workplace that provided a catalyst for a positive and unified working culture. We wanted to inspire increased levels of collaboration, communication and morale amongst teams that would be working together in the same building for the first time."
The new office is bright, open and airy with clean lines and work settings cater to the unique working practices of the organisation. Physical boundaries between colleagues are kept to a minimum to aid interdepartmental communication, and informal breakout areas provide a perfect setting for informal meetings and updates.
The project has been carefully managed from start to finish to ensure the environment offered value for money for Morrisons. TSK not only managed the procurement of new furniture systems, but also established and implemented a furniture recycling strategy for the building; utilising existing furniture from the offices being vacated by integrated it seamlessly within the new building.
The new headquarters can be described as 'future proof', utilising the latest audio-visual technology - again designed and delivered by TSK - to provide working areas that support modern working methods such as video-conferencing and interactive presentations.
