Totty Building Services - Offices Development - Halifax, Bradford, Leeds, West Yorkshire Police Station Improvement Scheme

Date: 29 Aug 2006

Totty Building Services has secured a £570K project with West Yorkshire Police Estate Services to carry out improvement works at three regional police stations. The 12-week fast-track project at Halifax Police Station, Eccleshill Police Station in Bradford and Killingbeck Police Station in Leeds will see Totty carry out internal demolition work and structural alterations to form new and improved station facilities.

New offices, welfare and food preparation areas will be formed at the Halifax station, with an additional conference and briefing facility created at the Eccleshill station. At Killingbeck Police Station, Totty will reconfigure and rationalise space on the first floor of the building to create a new locker room, kitchen and social areas. The contractor has carefully phased the refurbishment programme to minimise any potential disruption, with the project due to commence mid-September.

Philip Ryder, managing director of Totty Building Services, commented: "The increasing volume of public sector work the company has secured in 2006 reflects our well established reputation for project delivery and ability to work as part of a team providing real added value. Totty Building Services has carved out a niche as a small works contractor that really punches above its weight and we continue to make major in-roads in developing mutually beneficial relationships with key regional public sector bodies."
