Date: 30 Aug 2006

Work is underway on the second phase of a £4 million business park development at Newark. Situated close to the A1, A46 and A17 it holds the prospect of creating dozens of new jobs.

The recent completion of, the now fully let, phase one of the 24,000 sq ft development at Stephenson Court, Brunel Drive has brought 4 new businesses creating approximately 30 new jobs.

Stephenson Court situated on the Brunel Park development, a prime 44 acre site with direct frontage to the A1 is being developed by Lincoln based Taylor Lindsey Limited and phase two will see a further 4000 sq ft.

"We have already pre-let one of the units to a web development company, Niddocks Limited and we anticipate the completion of this unit in November. We have also had serious enquiries from a number of potential businesses and are offering design and build options. Due to its location so near to the major road networks this development is creating a lot of interest and provides excellent opportunities for firms seeking good transport links," said Alastair Twell of Taylor Lindsey.

Phase 1 occupiers include Simon Cox landscaping contractors, Con Space Communications (UK) Limited and Nottinghamshire County Council's Young Peoples Division. Food distributor, Corby Chilled is already established on Brunei Park as part of its national distribution network.

Taylor Lindsey began developing Stephenson Court in the autumn of 2005 and it is scheduled to be complete by the autumn of 2007.
