Rok plc - Appointment - Bristol, Rok Appoints Rob Olorenshaw to Aid Expansion
Date: 04 Sep 2006
Rok plc has appointed Rob Olorenshaw to help with its ambitious plans for expansion in its bid to become recognised as the nation's local builder.
Having just reported its sixth successive set of record half-year results, Rok has signalled its intention to increase its network of offices across the UK from the 40 it has today to around 100 in the next few years.
As the group's new Organisation Development Director, Rob will be responsible for the way new businesses are integrated into the company and for the workplace experience of existing employees. Rob comes to Rok with a wealth of experience in people development and change management gleaned from his career in the financial services industry, latterly with Bank of Ireland and HBOS.
"I see this as an opportunity to be part of a dynamic business that is growing very quickly and to use my experience to help it respond to all the challenges associated with rapid growth and constant change," said Rob. "I will have a role in shaping the way the organisation grows and ensuring it continues to be successful by keeping its people engaged.
"The particular challenge at Rok is to enable each office to retain its own identity and focus, which makes it a successful local builder in its community, but at the same time implement best practice across all of Rok's business streams and across the country."
Welcoming the appointment, chief executive Garvis Snook said Rob's experience would be invaluable in helping Rok achieve its aim of being best employer not just in its own industry but in any sector.
