ISG Totty - Mixed-Use Development - Horsforth, Leeds, Student Housing at Trinity & All Saints for £3.3m

Date: 10 Oct 2006

ISG Totty has won a £3.3 million project with Leeds Trinity & All Saints to build new student accommodation at its Horsforth campus. The scheme for the HE provider, which is an accredited college of the University of Leeds, sees ISG Totty construct six accommodation blocks arranged around a central courtyard.

The two-storey, traditionally constructed accommodation blocks comprise a total of 86 individual units, each featuring a bedroom, workspace and en-suite facilities. Four of the units have been specially designed to house disabled students and a further two will provide accommodation for senior residents. Each block will include a large communal kitchen for residents and the buildings decorated to a high standard. Externally, ISG Totty will create a number of car parking spaces and provide hard and soft landscaping finishes, with the project due for completion in August 2007, ahead of the new academic year.

John Gittins, managing director of ISG Totty, commented: "ISG Totty has a wealth of experience successfully delivering high quality student accommodation projects at institutions across the north of England. Most recently, the company has completed a high profile scheme for the Leeds College of Music and this latest award for Trinity & All Saints reinforces our commitment to this burgeoning sector."
