East Midlands firm Freeth Cartwright is celebrating after a prestigious guide to lawyers in the UK highlighted the work of its innovative construction team.

According to the new edition of Chambers UK, Freeth Cartwright is one of the most commercially-focused firms in the country, which "successfully punches above its weight throughout the Midlands and beyond", and has "carved a niche for itself, training supply chain management to cope with PFI project management".

And it is the only law firm in the East Midlands that has two lawyers - Guy Berwick and Chris Holwell - ranked in this sector.

Guy Berwick, who was also ranked in the top 30 construction lawyers in the UK, commented: "We are pleased that the market has recognised what our key account customers already know, namely that we have a demonstrable track record of both reducing their legal spend and helping them to improve the performance of their management.
