ISG Totty - Leisure Development - Walsall, New Holiday Inn Development in Walsall

Date: 27 Oct 2006

ISG Totty has secured a second project to build a new Express by Holiday Inn in Walsall. This Hotel will be managed by Queensway Hospitality, who also manages Express by Holiday Inn's in Croydon and Stevenage. This latest contract award immediately follows ISG Totty's successful completion of an Express by Holiday Inn hotel at the prestigious Clarence Dock development in Leeds.

The new four-storey, 120-bed hotel, on the Tempus Ten business estate in Walsall, is set to become an instant landmark building within the area, with a striking architectural design and a curvilinear standing seam metal roof and feature tower. The new hotel has an innovative two part design with a large four-storey pre-cast concrete accommodation block, and a connecting two-storey steel frame building, providing dining amenities, meeting rooms and conference facilities.

Externally, the accommodation block will feature render and timber cladding and the connecting facility has a contemporary design with extensive curtain walling to its façade. ISG Totty will also form a large car parking area for hotel guests and carry out a range of hard and soft landscaping finishes, with the project due for completion in the summer of 2007.

John Gittins, managing director of ISG Totty, commented: "The company has an enviable reputation for the delivery of high quality new-build hotel facilities across the North of England. The commencement of our second Express by Holiday Inn project within the past 12-months, highlights ISG Totty's ability to bring complex, landmark developments to fruition, and underlines out commitment to adding value at every stage of the construction process."
