Think - General - London, Major Companies Sign Up for Think

Date: 15 Nov 2006

The organisers of Think, the new sustainability, regeneration and innovation event taking place from 1-3 May next year, have announced their major partners and supporters for 2007. Companies registering their involvement at partnership level are Savills, Kingspan, English Partnerships, Schüco, The Housing Corporation, Mtech, Sainsbury's, Eversheds and Autodesk, all of whom will be participating in next year's inaugural event.

Think uniquely spans the whole value chain and revolves around high-profile conferences, exhibitions and networking opportunities on three themes: sustainability, regeneration and innovation. It will tackle some of the most important issues affecting today's global property and construction markets.

The Think Sustainability conference programme will highlight the latest thinking on energy efficiency, green design, renewables and environmental legislation. It is being supported by Gleeds, Schüco, Kingspan and English Partnerships.

John Callcutt, Chief Executive of English Partnerships, said:

"More than ever, it is important that all of us involved in the creation of sustainable communities take the time to deliberate, debate and exchange thoughts on how we can continue to innovate and improve our work. We are pleased to support Think in doing just that."

Savills, the Housing Corporation and Eversheds have been confirmed as the official partners for Think Regeneration. Uniting the public and private sectors, this element of the event will cover topics that include affordable housing, infrastructure, international rural and urban renewal projects, estates regeneration and the revival of major northern cities as a unique counterpoint to the development of the Thames Gateway and other growth areas.

As Dominic Grace and David Williams from Savills both explained:

"Think offers an unrivalled platform for debate. The fact that the outcome of the event will be the establishment of the Think Charter - an important and influential industry consensus surrounding today's most pressing issues - means that it's important for the private sector to express their commitment to an issue that impacts right across the corporate climate."

Think Innovation will be run in partnership with Mtech and Autodesk, both of whom reflect and support Think Innovation's focus on new practices, products, building methods and design systems.

CB Richard Ellis, supported by the Urban Land Institute, are sponsoring the VIP programme for investors and clients, and the Department for Communities and Local Government will host a public sector area to help visitors negotiate that sector quickly and easily. RDA's, URC's and UDC's will all be profiled in this area.

David Pierpoint, Event Director for Think, commented:

"The level of public and private sector commitment has been astounding. It clearly demonstrates the extent to which Think is tackling those issues that are of utmost importance in today's business world. In sponsorship terms, the fact that we are experiencing such a high level of demand means that I would urge companies to sign up for exhibition space as soon as possible. Think promises to be the hottest calendar date for 2007"
