Norwest Holst - Mixed-Use Development - UK, West Coast Route Modernisation Project

The Civil Engineering division of Norwest Holst (VINCI PLC) has carried out three separate rail possessions on behalf of Network Rail for various projects, one of which is a £6.9 million contract at Hademore in Lichfield forming part of the Trent Valley Four Tracking of the West Coast Route Modernisation Project. The contract involves the construction of two overbridges, the largest of which moved a step nearer to completion during a recent 54 hour possession in which twelve pre-cast concrete beams, each weighing 60 tonnes, were lifted into position by a 500 tonne mobile crane.
