Bucknall Austin - Mixed-Use Development - Barnsley, £50m Regeneration Scheme in Barnsley

The Sheffield office of Bucknall Austin are providing cost consultancy, project management services and objective 1 consultancy to Quest Property Ltd, a private developer based in Barnsley.

The multi-million-pound Gateway Plaza mixed-use regeneration scheme lies in the heart of Barnsley, South Yorkshire. Works have recently commenced on site with the development due to be completed in 2008.

With the help of Bucknall Austin, the scheme has secured £5.2m from the EU's Objective One fund and will lead to the construction of 90,000 sq ft of open-plan office accommodation over six floors.

There will also be 188 apartments, 21,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space, a 100-bed three-star hotel and a 516-space car park, built around a central plaza.
